Which hybrid car is better for the money between the Honda Civic Hybrid and the Toyota Prius?

1If you do a thorough cost/benefit study you'll find that neither is a very economical choice. It will take you about 4-5 years in gas 'savings' to make up the extra 5K you have to pay to get the hybrid...plus you'll have trouble unloading it after 5 years because the batteries have to be replaced in 7-8 years and current cost for Toyota is another 5-7k.....
